Welcome to Tagwimi.

Tagwimi is a social platform designed to help people find others to join them for activities, experiences, events, and everyday plans.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Tagwimi application, website, and related services (“Tagwimi,” the “Platform,” or the “Service”).

By creating an account or using Tagwimi, you agree to these Terms.

1. About Tagwimi

Tagwimi helps people connect around activities they would like to do with others.

For example, users may use Tagwimi to find people to:

• Go swimming
• Attend an event
• Go hiking
• Visit a café or restaurant
• Work out
• Play sports
• Explore a new place
• Attend entertainment or social activities
• Participate in other lawful activities

Unless explicitly stated otherwise, Tagwimi does not organize, supervise, operate, endorse, or control activities created by users.

Users who create activities are independent users of the Platform and are not employees, agents, representatives, or partners of Tagwimi.

2. Eligibility

You must meet the minimum age requirement displayed during registration to create an Tagwimi account.

Tagwimi currently operates as an adults-only service. You must be at least 18 years old.

By creating an account, you confirm that:

• The information you provide is accurate;
• You are legally permitted to use the Service;
• You will comply with these Terms and applicable laws; and
• You have not previously been removed from Tagwimi for serious violations unless Tagwimi has expressly permitted your return.

Tagwimi may request reasonable information necessary to verify an account or protect the Platform.

3. Your Account

You are responsible for your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.

You may not impersonate another person, create an account using deliberately false identifying information, sell or transfer your account without permission, or use another person's account without authorization.

Notify Tagwimi promptly if you believe someone has gained unauthorized access to your account.

4. Creating Activities

Tagwimi allows users to create and publish activities that other users may request or choose to join.

When creating an activity, you should provide accurate information about the activity, including relevant details such as the location, date, time, expected costs, requirements, and nature of the activity.

You must not intentionally create misleading, fraudulent, illegal, or dangerous activities.

Creating an activity does not make Tagwimi responsible for that activity.

5. Joining Activities

Joining, requesting to join, or communicating with participants does not guarantee that an activity will happen as described.

Plans may be changed or cancelled by users.

Before attending an activity, you are responsible for deciding whether the activity, organizer, participants, venue, transportation arrangements, and surrounding circumstances are appropriate for you.

6. Meeting People in Real Life

Tagwimi facilitates connections between people who may not previously know each other.

Meeting someone through Tagwimi is ultimately your decision.

When meeting another user, reasonable safety precautions may include meeting in public places, telling someone you trust where you are going, arranging your own transportation, protecting sensitive personal information, and leaving an activity if you feel unsafe.

Tagwimi cannot guarantee the identity, intentions, statements, behavior, background, or safety of every user.

Any verification feature offered by Tagwimi should be treated as an additional trust signal rather than a guarantee that a person is safe or trustworthy.

In an emergency or when you believe someone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency authorities rather than relying solely on Tagwimi's reporting system.

7. Respect and Consent

Tagwimi is intended to help people form respectful social connections.

You must respect another user's boundaries and decisions.

A person joining an activity, accepting a request, exchanging messages, or meeting someone through Tagwimi does not imply romantic or sexual interest or consent to physical or sexual activity.

Consent must be freely given and may be withdrawn at any time.

Harassment, coercion, stalking, intimidation, unwanted sexual behavior, or threatening conduct is prohibited.

8. Prohibited Conduct

You may not use Tagwimi to:

• Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, exploit, or intimidate another person;
• Commit or facilitate fraud or scams;
• Impersonate another person;
• Promote or arrange unlawful activities;
• Share another person's private information without authorization;
• Send malicious software or attempt to compromise the Platform;
• Circumvent security or moderation systems;
• Spam users or use Tagwimi primarily for unsolicited advertising;
• Exploit, endanger, or sexually abuse minors;
• Discriminate against or attack people in ways prohibited by applicable law or Tagwimi's community rules;
• Organize activities intended to harm participants or other people;
• Use the Platform for human trafficking or other exploitation;
• Create deliberately misleading activities;
• Scrape or collect user information without authorization; or
• Use Tagwimi in any manner that violates applicable law.

Tagwimi may establish additional Community Guidelines describing acceptable behavior.

9. Dangerous Activities

Some activities naturally involve greater risk than others.

Examples may include hiking, swimming, cycling, running, contact sports, adventure activities, travel, nightlife, and physical exercise.

Users are responsible for considering their own experience, equipment, transportation, environment, weather, physical capabilities, and other relevant safety factors before participating.

Where professional instruction, permits, protective equipment, supervision, insurance, or specialized qualifications are appropriate, users are responsible for ensuring those requirements are satisfied.

10. Locations

Tagwimi may allow users to provide locations, select meeting points, or discover activities based on geographic areas.

Do not publish a private home address or another person's sensitive location unless doing so is appropriate and you have permission.

Tagwimi may limit the precision with which certain locations are displayed for privacy or safety reasons.

Location information may occasionally be inaccurate or outdated. Confirm the meeting location independently before attending an activity.

11. Messaging

Users may communicate through Tagwimi's messaging features.

You may not use messaging to harass, threaten, scam, spam, exploit, or repeatedly contact someone who has clearly indicated that they do not want further communication.

Tagwimi may use automated systems and, where permitted by law and necessary for safety, security, support, or enforcement, authorized review processes to identify potential violations of these Terms.

12. User Content

“User Content” includes information you submit to Tagwimi, such as:

• Profile information
• Photos
• Activity posts
• Messages where applicable
• Comments
• Reviews
• Reports
• Other material you upload or publish

You retain ownership of your User Content.

However, you grant Tagwimi a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, display, process, and distribute your User Content as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service.

This license ends when the relevant content is deleted from our systems, subject to reasonable backup, legal, security, and technical retention requirements.

You must have the necessary rights to anything you upload.

13. Photos and Profiles

You may not knowingly upload images that:

• Belong to someone else without authorization;
• Misrepresent your identity;
• Contain unlawful sexual content;
• Exploit minors;
• Reveal sensitive information about another person without permission; or
• Otherwise violate these Terms or our Community Guidelines.

Tagwimi may remove content that violates these rules.

14. Reporting and Blocking

Tagwimi may provide tools that allow users to report or block other users.

Reports should be made in good faith.

Submitting deliberately false reports or abusing reporting systems may result in account restrictions.

Depending on the circumstances, Tagwimi may investigate reports, remove content, issue warnings, restrict features, suspend accounts, permanently remove accounts, preserve relevant information, or cooperate with lawful requests from authorities.

Tagwimi does not guarantee a particular outcome following a report.

15. Moderation

Tagwimi reserves the right to enforce these Terms and its Community Guidelines.

Moderation decisions may consider factors including the severity of the behavior, available evidence, previous violations, risk to other users, and applicable law.

Where appropriate, Tagwimi may provide mechanisms for users to appeal certain moderation decisions.

16. Third-Party Locations and Services

Activities may take place at businesses or locations operated by third parties, such as cafés, restaurants, gyms, cinemas, parks, event venues, hotels, or transportation services.

Unless specifically stated otherwise, these businesses are not operated by or affiliated with Tagwimi.

Their own terms, rules, fees, availability, and policies may apply.

17. Costs and Expenses

Unless Tagwimi explicitly states otherwise, users are responsible for expenses associated with participating in activities, including transportation, food, tickets, venue charges, equipment, accommodation, or other costs.

Users should clearly communicate expected shared costs before an activity whenever practical.

No user should falsely represent a cost or use an activity to defraud another person.

18. Payments

If Tagwimi introduces paid services, subscriptions, bookings, organizer payments, or other payment features, additional payment terms may apply.

Prices, fees, cancellation conditions, and refund policies will be displayed where applicable.

Third-party payment processors may also apply their own terms and privacy policies.

19. Privacy

Your privacy matters to us.

Our Privacy Policy explains what personal information Tagwimi collects, how it is used, how it is protected, when it may be shared, and the rights available to users.

By using Tagwimi, you acknowledge that your information will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy and in accordance with applicable law.

20. Intellectual Property

Except for User Content and third-party materials, the Tagwimi application and its software, branding, graphics, interface, logos, designs, and other proprietary materials belong to Tagwimi or its licensors.

You may not copy, sell, reverse engineer, reproduce, distribute, or commercially exploit these materials except where permitted by law or with our written authorization.

21. Platform Availability

We aim to keep Tagwimi available and reliable, but uninterrupted operation cannot be guaranteed.

The Service may occasionally be unavailable because of maintenance, technical problems, security incidents, upgrades, circumstances outside our reasonable control, or other operational requirements.

Features may also be added, changed, or discontinued.

22. Disclaimers

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Tagwimi is provided on an “as available” basis.

Tagwimi facilitates connections between users but does not guarantee that:

• A particular activity will occur;
• Users will get along;
• Information provided by users is always accurate;
• Every user is who they claim to be;
• An activity will be safe or suitable for a particular person; or
• The Service will always operate without interruption or error.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights or protections that cannot legally be excluded.

23. Responsibility for User Interactions

Users are responsible for their own conduct and decisions when interacting with other users.

Tagwimi is not automatically responsible for acts or omissions of independent users merely because those users met through the Platform.

Any limitation of Tagwimi's liability applies only to the extent permitted by applicable law.

24. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Tagwimi and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses arising solely from use of the Platform.

Any limitations in these Terms do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited or excluded.

25. Suspension and Termination

Tagwimi may restrict, suspend, or terminate an account where reasonably necessary because of:

• Violations of these Terms;
• Serious or repeated violations of Community Guidelines;
• Fraud or suspected fraudulent activity;
• Safety risks;
• Abuse of other users;
• Legal obligations; or
• Attempts to compromise the Platform.

Users may stop using Tagwimi at any time and may request account deletion through the methods provided by the Service.

Certain information may be retained after deletion where reasonably necessary or legally required, as explained in the Privacy Policy.

26. Changes to These Terms

Tagwimi may update these Terms as the Service evolves or when required for legal, regulatory, security, or operational reasons.

When material changes are made, we will provide reasonable notice where required.

The effective date at the beginning of these Terms will indicate when the latest version took effect.

27. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Uganda, subject to any mandatory consumer or other legal protections that apply.

Any dispute-resolution provisions adopted by Tagwimi will operate subject to applicable Ugandan law.

28. Severability

If a provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.

29. Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and any additional terms applicable to specific Tagwimi features, form the agreement between you and Tagwimi concerning your use of the Service.
